Tangled Tones is now offering a childrens' music program to the public. We specifically encourage daycares and pre-schools to check out this new program named Kids' Vibrations. Below is more detailed information about the once a month program held at the studio.   • 1 hour program: $50.00
  • 1 1/2 hour program: $75.00

Rates for Saturday Monthly Program:

This program meets on the third Saturday of every month, three different sessions. Sign up now! (programs do fill up, advanced registration required)

Bring your children to a relaxing environment to experience diversity, creativity and fun through music. Kids' Vibrations is a program designed to encourage children to express themselves through music, movement and rhythm.

The program focuses on a multi-disciplinary approach by using music as a medium to explore the world. In our daily exercises children may learn about geography, literature, reading, culture, science, math or drama all through music.

Children will learn and participate in:

Ear Music

Learn to listen...identify and imitate what you hear.

Rhythm and Movement

We learn best by doing... Participate in games and simple exercises learning the basics of rhythm.

Singing and Acting

Expression... Learn new twists to old songs and how to dramatize and create new songs.

World Music

One of music's most fascinating aspects is its breadth of diversity... Each class will involve discovering a new instrument, story or song from other cultures.

 

Who Are We?

Matthew Nord studied music at the University of Montana and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. He has been teaching guitar and piano privately in Missoula for the past four years. Matthew has taught children’s music classes in daycares and preschools as well as workshops on children’s music for MAEYC ( Montana Association for the Education of Young Children). He hopes to share his passion and love for music with energetic youth and inspire them to continue in music.

Lynn Talarico has been a private piano music instructor for the past 35 years. She studied education with an emphasis in music at Eastern Illinois University and received her degree in Education from the University of Montana. Lynn has taught children from the ages of five through high school, adults and group preschool and daycare music classes.

One child-any age -- $3.00 *

Two Children -- $5.00

Family (3 or more children) -- $8.00 *

*Adult supervision required for children under the age of 4.
